avenger
Avengers take the wrongs they witness as a personal affront. Their vow is to punish those who have done wrong, to right the scales of justice by any means necessary, and to see their enemies struck down with precision and finality. Many forego the protections their companions would offer, becoming the sharpened edge of retribution.
Companions may admire their resolve, fear their obsession, or resent the cost of their dedication. Yet Avengers do not pursue vengeance solely for personal grievance. Often, they act because those harmed cannot defend themselves, and it becomes their duty to be the blade that delivers justice in their stead.
Tenets of the Avenger
Prioritize. When faced with multiple challenges, address those that most threaten your goals or the balance you uphold. Lesser problems may be left for later, but will not be forgotten.
No Leniency for Persistent Foes. Ordinary opponents may be handled with caution or pragmatism. Those who repeatedly oppose or endanger your objectives demand attention and resolute response.
Do What Must Be Done. Avoid hesitation or sentimentality when confronting obstacles. Your choices may be harsh, your methods direct, but they serve the purpose you have sworn to pursue. Efficiency is a form of discipline.
Make Amends Where Possible. When harm occurs, recognise your role in the outcome, whether by action or inaction, and seek to mitigate damage where feasible.

Vengeful Gaze
As an action, you use your Channel Divinity in an attempt to strike fear into the heart of your foe.
Vow of Emnity
As a bonus action, you can utter a vow of enmity against a creature you can see within 10 feet of you, using your Channel Divinity. You gain advantage on attack rolls against the creature for 1 minute or until it drops to 0 hit points or falls unconscious.
Inescapable Fate
Your supernatural focus helps you close off a foe's retreat.
When you hit a creature with an Attack of Opportunity, you can move up to half your speed immediately after the attack and as part of the same reaction. This movement doesn't provoke opportunity attacks.
Strike of Retribution
The authority with which you speak your Vow of Enmity gives you greater power over your foe.
When a creature under the effect of your Vow of Enmity makes an attack, you can use your reaction to make a melee weapon attack against that creature if it is within range.
Avatar of Vengeance
You can assume the form of a divine avenger.
Using your action, you undergo a transformation. For 1 hour, you gain the following benefits:
- Wings sprout from your back and grant you a flying speed of 60 feet (the appearance of your wings is up to your discretion).
- You emanate an aura of menace, affecting any creature of your choice that is within range of your Aura of Protection.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
