dark elf
Cruel and cunning, the dark elves are the other side of the elven race’s coin. They dwell deep underground in elaborate cities that they forged from the rocks of the caverns they call home. While not born evil, malignancy is deeply rooted in their culture and people, and there are few races they would deem as their ‘equals’.
Their bodies are similair in stature to other elven races, sharing slender and sharp features and the pointed ears with their elven cousins. Yet they have no pupils in their eyes, bearing solid white or red irises that glisten in the dark. Their skins range from coal black to a dusky purple. Their hair typically white or silver, though some variations are known to occur.
Society
Most dark elves live under the fearful service of their true goddess, The Spider Queen. Under her rule, dark elf society is a matriarchal society led by noble houses that will do anything to curry her favour. Yet the Spider Queen is a fickle goddess, and eagerly pits the many houses and their countless vassals against one another. Causing distrust and fear to be the dominant forces within their cities.
Nonetheless some dark elves have seceded from their dark territory and began adventuring, allying themselves with other races and making for good allies.
